MEMBERS COURT USAGE POLICY
The Manly Lawn Tennis Club (“MLTC”) has a number of courts reserved especially for the use of Club members.
Courts are available on the following days for play by club members

3 courts from 4 pm to 6 pm
4 courts from 6 pm to 8 pm

|Saturday||6 courts from 11.30 am to 6 pm
(Social 12 to 4 pm)
|Sunday||3 courts 8 am to 2 pm
2 courts 2 pm to 7 pm
|Public Holidays||3 courts 7 am to 6 pm|
Members Organised Play
Courts are reserved for organised social and competitive play at certain times during the day on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Public Holiday afternoons and designated events such as Club Championships.
At other club member play times a booking can be made by contacting the Manly Tennis Centre (“MTC”) on 02 99776023.
Tuesday, 1pm – 4pm organised social
4pm –members can book. Play is not organised.
Wednesday – members can book
Thursday 1pm- 4pm organised social play
4pm – 10pm courts are available for Club members as a practice night. Play is not organised, and courts cannot be booked.
Saturday Social tennis for members commences at 1pm. Sets are organised.
Sundays – members can book
Visitors of club members, including family who are non-members, must pay a ‘visitor fee’ to MLTC prior to play.
Playing Restrictions for members:
If a member books a court during member play time the following limits apply
Reserved play is limited to
- 1-hour for hitting sessions or singles
- 90-minutes for doubles play.
Members must vacate any reserved court if other members are waiting to play at the conclusion of play.
A booking can be made at any time subject to a court not being booked by another member, there is no minimum notice.
Guests and visitors are welcome at the Club.
Members can play with non-members, but a visitor’s fee applies as follows:
- Midweek $10
- Sunday $15
- Saturday $20
Visitors of club members, including family who are non-members, must pay a visitor fee’ to the Club prior to play. The club member is responsible for their visitor including ensuring the visitor’s fee has been paid before playing.
Visitor fee envelopes are found at the bar and are required to be completed and returned to the bar (if open) or placed under the committee room door. Alternatively, visitor fees can be paid directly into the Club’s bank account:

A visitor is allowed 6 visits to the Club per year, after which they must join the Club or pay court hire.
Members who bring guests to the club must ensure that they sign the visitor’s book and the member responsible co-signs. This is a requirement of the Liquor Licensing Board.
Playing outside of Club allocated court times
Non-club member play means play outside of the club hours published above.
MTC (controls the hiring of ALL courts for public play, private coaching, competitions and functions OUTSIDE of the designated Club Play times. They can be contacted on 02 99776023
Courts can be used two ways by members – with or without a reservation
Club members may use the courts during non-club member time on an unreserved basis without cost if the court is not being used by the MTC. However, members are required to vacate the court as soon as the MTC requires the court.
To be courteous and to avoid any confusion members need to advise MTC prior to using the court.
Visitors of club members, including family who are non-members must sign with the MTC and pay a fee to MTC prior to play.
Reservation of a court:
If a Club member wishes to book a court for a certain time outside of member allocated playing time, they must book through the MTC and pay the regular hiring fee less membership discount which is a 25% discount on the normal fee.
