Club Captain’s Report
With four rounds remaining in Sydney Badge we have 10 teams in the top 4 positions.
This is a fantastic effort so far and so all teams are encouraged to practice hard and finish off the season in a big way. Good luck to all .
Round 10 Results
Men’s Division 1
Men’s 1 lost 5-3 away at Westies
A close loss to the second team away keeps the Men on top of the table.
Westies and Castle Hill are closing the gap so Sean and the team need to play well in the next month to ensure first position and a home semi. Andrew/Cam won 3 sets.
Men’s Division 2
Manly 2 def Marrickville 1 7-1 at home
Todd/Warren 4 sets Netto/Wilko 3 sets.
This big win takes the team to 3rd position.
Men’s Division 3
Manly 3 def Sydney Uni 7-1 at home
Bede/Dan 3 sets Fernando/Sean 4 sets.Fernando kept up his good form with Sean this week. Now in 4th position.
Men’s Division 5
Manly 4 Lost 7-1 away at Strathfield
Craig/Geoff 1 set . Strathfield have a very strong team for Division 5.
Now in 6th position
Men’s Division 8
Manly 5 Won 4-3 away at Kooroora
Despite losing 3 tiebreakers we managed to win and hang on to 3rd position
Hugo/Alec 3 sets Denis/Graham 1 set and 1 unfinished
Men’s Division 10
Manly 6 bye
Still in first position
Men’s Division 11
Manly 7 def Royal Sydney 5-2 at home
Dave/Stu 3 sets and 1 unfinished. Tom/Brett 2 sets
Now in 2nd position
Ladies Thursday Badge
Lost 6-2 away at Roseville
Barbara/Lisa 2 sets Unfortunately Jane had to forfeit the last two sets with Michelle due to an injury. Now in 3rd position.
Women’s Division 1
Manly 1 Lost 6-2 away to Sydney Uni
Lisa/Caroline 2 sets
Now in 8th position
Women’s Division 3
Manly 2 Won 8-0 at home v Chatswood 2
Krista/Sarah 4 sets Virginia/Kirsten 4 sets.
Another big win takes our only undefeated team to a massive 13 point lead.
Well done again ladies.
Manly 3 Won 6-2 at home v Killara 1
Penny/Christine 4 sets Shelley/Sarah 2 sets
Another good win takes this team to 4th position
Women’s Division 4
Manly 4 Won 5-3 away at Sydney Uni
Kate/Noriko 3 sets Narelle/Melinda 2 sets
This team is in 3rd position.
This Saturday sees the big clash between our Ladies 2 and 3 teams at home at 2.50pm
The Ladies 1 and Men’s 2 also play late matches at home.
The Men’s 5 and 6 Teams play the early matches.
