Club Captain’s Report

After 13 rounds of Sydney Badge we still have 10 Teams in line for semi final positions.
Next Saturday is the last round so we will have an exciting final series for our Club.
Round 13 Results
Men’s Division 1
Manly 1 def Voyager 1 6-2 at home
Cam/Ben 4 sets Sean/Alex 2 sets.
The team is still first and guaranteed a home semi final but need to win next Saturday to maintain 1st position.
Men’s Division 2 Lost 6-2 at home v Rockdale.
This loss drops the team from 1st to 4th and they need to win next Saturday to make the semis. Todd/Bosko won 2 sets on Saturday.
Men’s Division 3
Manly 3 def Roseville 8-0 at home
Milton/Fernando 4 sets Dan/Bede 4 sets
This big win places the team in 3rd position and a good win next Saturday could clinch them 2nd spot and a home semi final.
Men’s Division 5
Manly 4 lost 7-1 away at Chatswood
Shishir/Geoff won 1 set Still in 6th position
Men’s Division 8
Won 5-3 away at Marrickville
Gavin filled in and won 2 sets with Hugo. Graham played superbly with a little help from Denis to win 3 sets. Now in 2nd spot
Men’s Division 10
Won 6-2 away at Strathfield
Mike/Brodie 3 sets James/Gabriel 3 sets
This big win almost guarantees 1st position on the table for the finals.
Men’s Division 11
Won 8-0 at home v Sydney Uni
Another big win almost guarantees 2nd position and a home semi final
Women’s Division 1
Manly 1 Lost 7-1 away to Longueville
Caroline/Nicola 1 set Still in 8th position
Women’s Division 3
Manly 2 Lost 4-4 by 1 game away to Chatswood 1
Kirsten/Virginia 4 sets  Still in 1st position and guaranteed a home semi final
Manly 3 Drew 3-4 at home v Beecroft
Larissa/Shelley 2 sets Christine/Penny 1 set and 1 unfinished
In 4th position and a win next Saturday will set up a semi against the other Manly Team.
Women’s Division 4
Manly 4 Lost 7-1 away to Chatswood
Noriko/Kate 1 set
Still in 3rd position and a certain semi finalist.
Thursday Ladies
Had a bye In 2nd position with 2 rounds remaining
The final round of Badge takes place this weekend and our Top 2 Ladies teams are at home.
Manly 2 Ladies have a top of the table clash against Beecroft so it will be a good guide for the finals.
